Caregiver Education Series at Journey's Way

Spring Series - Caregiver Education

According to national statistics, 29% of our population are caregivers.  Journey’s Way is pleased to offer an educational series this spring with information and resources to help those who are caring for others.  This series will take place at the Adult Day Services Center at Journey’ s Way , 4200 B Mitchell Street (first floor of Pensdale Village II, corner of Mitchell and Rector Streets) on the fourth Wednesday of the spring months, 6 – 7 PM.

Wednesday  March 28:  6-7 PM  “Activities at Home:  Planning the day for Persons with Dementia”

          Presented by Jennifer Grassi, MS, Program Coordinator at Adult Day Services at Journey’s Way

           Presented by Katherine G. Weiss,  Esq of Senior LAW Center

Wednesday, May 23:  6-7 PM   “Caregiver Blues” 

            Presented by Misa Romasco LCSW, Director of Geriatric Counseling at Journey’s Way

These seminars are free of charge and we encourage you to join us for any or all sessions.  In addition, our monthly Caregivers’ Support Group will follow each sessions at 7 pm. The Caregivers’ Support Group is sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Association and run by Marilyn Dyson. Newcomers are welcome.   Please call 215-487-1750 to register or for any additional information.
