The 2011 Old House Fair

The Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia designs the Old House Fair to address an unmet need for the special expertise, goods and services that local homeowners need to meet the
challenges of maintaining an old house. The Fair features over 70 vendor booths and an array of learning opportunities for owners of the old house to better maintain and restore their homes, including demonstrations, expert panels and other “hands on” assistance.

Over 700 people attended our last Fair in 2010, and visitors’ reviews found that the Fair helped to address their needs on how to and where to go for their specialized restoration and rehabilitation
needs. We know more people than ever will want to learn how to preserve, protect and enhance their existing homes. Our experience indicates that 90% of attendees at previous Fairs were
actively planning or in the process of restoration or improvement work on their homes.
