Young Friends: Apple Picking & Cider Making

There's nothing like apple picking in the fall. Join us early in the day as we visit locally-owned Indian Orchards to learn about their low-spray methods of growing apples. We'll take a short tour, taste a variety of apples and pick some to take home. Later we'll meet again to press the apples we just picked, making fresh cider. Interested folds can take it a step further and learn how to perfect the art of making hard cider. The Young Friends of the Schuylkill Center support and promote the mission of The Schuylkill Center through social, educational, and fundraising activities. It is a social and philanthropic group for members and non-members ages 21-45.
