All School District of Philadelphia Schools dismissed early Wednesday due to the high temperatures.
Schools were dismissed at 12:15 p.m.
"Schools with graduation ceremonies scheduled for today have the option to remain open for the ceremonies. Parents are asked to contact schools directly to confirm graduation schedules," the district said in an announcement.
All after-school activities are cancelled for Wednesday.
