St. Joseph's University—Philadelphia

Spelman College—Atlanta, GA

  • Dominique Grasty, a senior, spent her summer participating in the Biomedical Research Apprenticeship Program at Washington University in St. Louis. Known as BioMedRAP, this intensive, 10-week summer program intended to give Grasty valuable laboratory experience as she prepares for the biomedical field. She conducted research in a neuroscience laboratory, focusing on the analysis of data collected from patients with Parkinson's Disease.

The College of New Jersey—Ewing, NJ

  • Laura Kao earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design.

University of Scranton—Scranton, PA

  • Adam Gault was among just 25 members of school's Class of 2012 to graduate from the university's Honors Program. He received a bachelor of arts, cum laude, with a double major in communication and political science. He was mentored by Jack Strain, faculty specialist in communication, and his thesis was "Dimensions "Social Media in Congressional Campaigns: Overstated or Underutilized." 

University of the Sciences—Philadelphia

  • Matthew Kay, a doctor of pharmacy student, earned dean's list for the spring semester of 2012.
  • Eugene Howard, a doctor of physical therapy student, earned dean's list for the spring semester of 2012.

Villanova University—Villanova

The following local students graduated from Villanova University during a spring commencement ceremony, held May 20.

  • Lindsey Barker earned a Master of Science in Human Resource Development.
