Roxborough Students Train for Tech Future [Photos]

A new program is training Roxborough students for jobs in the biotech industry.

A recently-launched program is training Roxborough High School students for jobs in the tech industry.

WorkReady Philadelphia, a group whose mission is to create a job preparation system for students and young adults, introduced its most recent industry pipeline, aimed at provided students skills training in the fields of science, technology, energy and math on Jan 30.

The program currently connects 25 students from Roxborough and Lincoln High Schools with tutors at Thomas Jefferson University, ending with a six-week paid summer internship in the biotechnology field.
