Support Roxborough at the Flower Show

Phone app allows users to vote for a people's choice.

Roxborough residents have three days to support local institutions at the Philadelphia International Flower Show.

By downloading a free app for iPhones or Droids, users can vote for the People's Choice Awards, which includes two Roxborough floral staples.

Both students from ——and business entered with exhibits. People may vote for them through Sunday.

On its Facebook page, Petals Lane described how to vote for it: "If you have a iPhone or iPad you will download the app, go into attractions, then into flower show fun, then you be the judge and finally People's Choice Awards. Thank you so much."

So far, Petals Lane has 5 percent of the vote in the 46-entry field. The current leader is Langhorne-based Flowers by David with 25 percent.

The app itself is pretty helpful, if you are attending the show at the Philadelphia Convention Center. It includes schedules, detailed info on exhibitions, and a few other games and trivia options.

People may download the app here. It's also available for Droids.
