Meet Roxborough-Manayunk Patch's Greatest Baseball Fan

Roxborough Patch recently ran a contest in search of the area's greatest baseball fan.  We asked readers to submit photos of themselves and their fandom for other readers to vote on.  You guys voted for Meredith Podob and her friends.  I sent Meredith a few questions about her photo and her Phillie fandom in general.

Patch : Who are the other people in the photo with you?  But more importantly, where did you get those gloves?

Meredith: In the Photo are Alexis Ciongoli, and Dana Vass. Alexis was out shopping and found these awesome gloves!

Patch: Why were you at that game?  In general do you go to a lot of Phillies games?

Meredith: For the past 3 years we have all run in the Phillies 5k and as a gift for running and donating to the Phillies Charities, we get the first on deck game of the year. We all attend many many games, sometimes even back to back days!

Patch: What's your favorite Phillies memory? 

Meredith: I would have to say one of all of our's favorite memories is last years on-deck series, we were all in the front row right on the field, we were on tv many times that night, getting texts and phone calls from all of our family and friends who were watching the game. When we went home, we had a viewing party of the game so we could see our MLB fame!

Patch: Who is or was your favorite Phillie?

Meredith: I would have to say that as a consistent Phillie, it would have to be the Phillie Phanatic. He is always brightening someones day, young and old, big and small.  Even if you aren't a Phillies Phan, you love the Phanatic, who wouldn't love the big green guy?!?!
