Push for Sixer Mascot Gig Nets Morris Web Buzz

More than 2,000 support Chris Morris' quest on Facebook.

In one week, Chris Morris' campaign to be the next 76ers mascot went from 0 to 2,000—in terms of Facebook likes. With the help of friends, the Roxborough resident has pushed to reinstate and be cast as Big Shot, the blue basketball monster.

On top of an ever-growing Facebook group, Morris has caught the attention of radio stations, newspapers and online publications alike. The comedian said Tuesday he hopes he can get the Sixers attention and demonstrate why he should help revive Big Shot in Philadelphia.
