Roxborough Doctor Gets 10k YouTube Views, Preps for Boston Marathon

Great Life Chiropractic owner offers knee exercise tips.

Dr. Ted Loos is certainly a fit guy, and now he can add YouTube star to his resume.

The owner of  in Roxborough and fitness helper with from Manayunk recently got some Web attention through an exercise video.

"Roxborough 19128 Chiropractor demonstrates exercises for Runner's Knee" earned more than 10,000 views. That may not seem super viral compared to other Web hits, but it is impressive considering most fitness videos barely register more than 100 views.

In the video, Loos offers three methods to exercise the knee in an effort to combat any type of knee pain—runner's knee, patellar femoral syndrome, or patellar tendonitis.

With Kasey Manwaring, from Main Street's new storefront Goals Fitness, Loos will put his techniques to the test Monday when they run the Boston Marathon.

"We're also training people for the Broad Street Run. I can help new runners manage their aches and determine if they are hurt or just sore," Loos said.

The chiropractor is also sponsoring a bus to the Broad Street Run, as its origins in North Philly and termination at the stadiums can logistically be a nightmare.

Though new to Manayunk, Goals Fitness has been a Roxborough staple for several years on Mitchell Street. Loos helped Manwaring with several trainings, including her early morning .

Manwaring often offers free training sessions. On Friday, Goals Fitness hosts an alternative happy hour, starting at 6 p.m. "Zen—It's Just a Mile Away" starts at her studio, 4450 Main St., and runs the approximately 1 mile to for a yoga session. It terminates with the run back.

"It's the most relaxed happy hour you'll ever experience," she said.

Roxborough and Manayunk have their own YouTube star. That's great.
