For more than 40 years, the area's public and parochial schools take to the football field at Pechin and Hermitage Streets for the annual Thanksgiving game.
Again in 2012, Roman Catholic High School squares up against home team Roxborough High School in the Nov. 22 match-up.
The game starts at 10:30 a.m.
Neither team had its finest season in recent memory, but that disappears when the rivalry fires up early Thursday morning. Roxborough comes in at 4-6 (2-4 Public League) with Roman at a record of 6-4 (2-2 Catholic).
