Where to Watch Sunday's Bike Race

The rejuvenated Manayunk Bike Race gets underway Sunday, June 2 with the women's race starting at 8:30 a.m.

Because the race route is 12 miles long there are plenty of places along the way to watch.

However, organizers have picked a few special spots along the route where spectators can see a lot of the action.

Here are the recommended viewing spots from the organizers of the Philly Cycling Classic:

• Start/Finish line — near the top of "The Wall" on Lyceum Avenue by Pechin St
• Sprint Spot — located on Main Street in Manayunk at Cotton Street
• East Falls Block Party — taking place on Midvale Avenue near Kelly Drive
• Feed Zone — located on Kelly Drive in the River Parking Lot near permanent bleachers

Also check out the attached map of the race route to choose your own spot to watch if one of the ones above doesn't strike your fancy.

There are also several events going on throughout the weekend.

There will be a concert in Pretzel Park on June 1, starting at 3 p.m.

Also on Saturday, the Manayunk Development Corporation will be hosting a "Walk the Wall" event that will kick off their Fit Fest.

And finally, East Falls will host a block party on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
