Carpooling from Roxborough-Manayunk is possible!

While many choose to make their homes in Roxborough-Manayunk, too often do these same people end up becoming commuters to their daily 9-5 jobs.  After scouring Craigslist and job sites for months and months, it is sad, but true, that our area does not have that many jobs.  This is not to say that we don't have a colorful aray of businesses, we just don't have the huge office buildings, super centers and malls that supply the job force.

Since it seems as if most of us leave during the day and the streets are faily ample with parking, this leads room to think that carpooling would be very beneficial to the area.  Carpooling with when two or more people drive together to a similar or nearby destination, saving travel costs and creating less pollution.  We could easily start saving gas money, personal energy and pollute less by collaborating with others to find the most effective way to our daily grind.  Most of us either head into Center City or out towards King of Prussia/Norristown taking 76.  Other locations would include North or South on 95 or 476.  Also note, carpooling can also work for vacation or recreational plans, not just for your work commute.
