Roxtoberfest, Craft Fair, Wendy's Ahead This Week

Here's what's going on this week in Roxborough and Manayunk

Wendy's Meeting: On Thursday, October 3, at 7:30 p.m.  there will be a meeting at Leverington Presbyterian Church, located at Hermit and Ridge.  The Central Roxborough Civic Association meets on the first Thursday of every month except July and August at Leverington Presbyterian Church on Ridge Avenue across from Gorgas Park.  The agenda for the October meeting includes a review and discussion of the proposed Wendy's at 5901 Ridge (Ridge and Roxborough). The meeting is open to the public.  

Craft Fair: The Ridge Park Civic Association will be hosting a flea market and craft fair on Saturday, Oct. 5 starting at 8 a.m. at Gorgas Park.  Vendors are needed.  $15 per space in advance; $20 on the day of the event.  Contact Kathy Swift at 215-482-2847 or 267-767-9305 for further information or to reserve a space.

Roxtoberfest: At Lyceum and Ridge Ave. Roxtoberfest is almost upon us! Saturday, October 5th from noon till 6pm, nearly 60 local, regional, national, and international companies will be represented at Roxborough’s 1st Annual Fall Street Festival. The event will cater to all who attend, with live original and cover music by The Racer, Ginger Coyle, and GetAway Stranger. There will be a beer garden and beer sampling sponsored by Penn Distributors and The Foodery- Roxborough. Some of Philadelphia's BEST food trucks are participating and there will be PLENTY to do for the kids! There will be face painting, a dunk tank, carnival games, a jumping castle and a 30' INFLATABLE OBSTACLE COURSE!
