Week Ahead: Get a Car Wash and Some Free Ice Cream

Here's a look at what's coming up this week in the Roxborough-Manayunk area.

Car Wash: Choir Students at Cook-Wissahickon Elementary School will be hosting a car wash on Tuesday, Aug. 20 at the school located at 201 E. Salaignac St.  The choir has performed in various competitions and events throughout the state and hopes to continue on their adventurous journey. With the support of the community these children can bring music to the world around them through song. 

Ice Cream Social: The Friends of the Wissahickon will host an Ice Cream Social on Wednesday, August 21, at 3 p.m., on the front lawn of their offices located at 8708 Germantown Ave. in Philadelphia. his event features free ice cream, music, environmental activities for the whole family, and the chance to meet with FOW’s staff and volunteers. Members of the Friends of the Wissahickon are encouraged to wear their FOW t-shirts and hats.
