Owl Prowl: Saturday, January 25, 2014, 6:00 PM The Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education: 8480 Hagy's Mill Road Philadelphia, PA 19128
At least two species of owls nest at the Schuylkill Center, great horned and screech. Join us on a search for these elusive, magnificent creatures, surprisingly mating at this time of year. Before the night hike, meet rehabilitated screech and great horned owls up close and in person.
Saturday Wellness Walk: On Saturday, Jan. 25, at 2 p.m. the Schuylkill Center located at 8480 Hagy's Mill Road Philadelphia will host a wellness walk. Here's how they describe it: "Feeling cooped up yet? Get out of the house and stretch those legs with an invigorating walk along the Schuylkill Center’s beautiful trails. The walk will be at a moderate pace, along one of our wider and more level trails. Adults only. Free for members, $5 for nonmembers."

Concert: Touring New York guitarist and songwriter Daryl Shawn performs at the Grape Room, located at 105 Grape St. in Philadelphia's Manayunk neighborhood on Saturday, January 25 at 7 p.m. Admission is $7, and limited to those 21 and over. Also appearing are local artists Pete Groch, Peace Dogs, and Katya Blue.
