Since 1979, Church of the Living Saviour has been serving the community of Roxborough. It is a Reformed Baptist Church that approaches its ministry in a less traditional and more contemporary manner in order to bring back people to their faith and make them want to come to serivces. Services are not formal. Upbeat music brightens up meetings, and people are encouraged to participate. The church believes in  "active faith" and is very involved in its local community and Philadelphia. Additionally, it lends support to  the Alpha Pregnancy Center and the Church and Community Pantry, which provides food for people in need.
