Reports: Bala Cynwyd Body ID'd as Roxborough Man

The county coroner reportedly identified the dead man as 25-year-old Michael Peterman.

The dead man who was found Dec. 20 by the Connolly Container property in Bala Cynwyd has been publicly identified, according to reports Friday from Philly.com and Main Line Media News. Montgomery County Coroner Walter I. Hofman reportedly identified the man as Michael Peterman, 25, of Freeland Avenue in Philadelphia's Roxborough section. The body had been discovered by bridge inspectors near Righters Ferry Road and the Schuylkill Expressway. No cause of death has been reported. Peterman's Legacy.com obituary lists him as survived by his parents and a sister, and predeceased by another sister. The obituary also invites donations to Amnesty International in Peterman's memory.

New Bala Cynwyd Apartments Could Increase Main Street Traffic

Bala Cywynd apartment complex has implications across the river.

A proposed Bala Cywnyd apartment complex could impact parking and traffic in Manayunk, some residents feared, as a bridge over the river will be rehabbed. Members of the Wissahickon Neighbors Civic Association Monday listened as developers from O'Neill Properties described a 593-unit, two-building apartment complex set for construction over the Schuylkill River in Lower Merion Township at the former Connelly Container Corp. site. Although all of the new renters will live outside the city, the rehabilitation of the Pencoyd Bridge will divert some traffic to Main Street. City Avenue Ramp to Ridge Avenue Closing for Weekend

PennDOT is doing concrete resurfacing.

The ramp from northbound City Avenue to Ridge Avenue in East Falls will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, through 5 a.m. Monday, Dec. 5, PennDOT announced Wednesday. Motorists will have to detour to Kelly Drive, then to Ridge Avenue, according to the advisory. Crews will be resurfacing the closed ramp, as part of a $20 million interchange renovation scheduled to end before January.
