Who won the weekly poll?

The results are in and readers overwhelmingly chose East River Bank as the best bank in the Roxborough-Manayunk area in this week's Best of Patch poll. With 73 percent of the vote, the Ridge Avenue branch resoundingly defeated the other competitors. On the poll itself, reader Mjo said: "East River Bank had fantastic customer service and personal attention that you only get at a local bank!" The Philadelphia area is home to several noteworthy regional or local banks. In addition, many branches serve their customers well in Roxborough and Manayunk. Patch wants to know—which bank is best? Winner—Best Coffee Shop

Who won the weekly poll?

The results are in and readers chose Crossroads Coffee House as the best coffee shop in the Roxborough-Manayunk area in this week's Best of Patch poll. With 44 percent of the vote, the Roxborough shop had a strong showing. Bob's Diner in Roxborough placed in second. On the Patch Places listing, Helen Bradley said: "Crossroads is awesome! The coffee is delicious, so are the specialty drinks. I recommend the vanilla chai. If you order food, give yourself some extra time—but it's worth it. Say hi to Mike (both of them)." With a number of options, Patch wants to know where the best cup of coffee in the area.

Settling down for a nice cup of coffee is easy in Roxborough and Manayunk. There's s few nice spots to relax and enjoy coffe. So Patch is asking: What's the best coffee shop? Check among Crossroads, Starbucks Manayunk, Starbucks Roxborough, Cafe Volo, Bob's Diner or the Manayunk Diner.  Vote for your favorite before Friday at 9 a.m. If there's a tie, the location with the most positive comments win. Winner—Best Takeout Spot

Who won the weekly poll?

The results are in and Pierogie Kitchen was named the best takeout place in the Roxborough-Manayunk area in last week's Best of Patch poll. Pierogie Kitchen received 61 percent of the vote and edged out The Couch Tomato Cafe, which also had a strong showing. In the comments, The Barron said, "The Pierogie Kitchen is crazy good, and so underrated. Perfect for this time of year, but still awesome in the summertime with a few cases of Victory or Philly Pale Ale." Patch restaurant reviewer Clara Park profiled Marie Thorpe, the Roxborough eatery's owner, in 2011. She discussed her favorite menu items.
