Beer-lovers rejoice. The Old Eagle in Roxborough is hosting Colorado-based Boulder Beer at its monthly beer event on Thursday. The Jan 31 event will feature a selection of high alcohol and barrel-aged beers from the company and includes meals from bar chef Morgan Malachi paired specially for the drinks. All Boulder Beer drinks will be offered for $1 off. Get your drinks starting at 7 p.m.

The Cold War might be over, but the fight will be rekindled Tuesday night at the Old Eagle Tavern on the Terrace and Markle Street corner. As part of the bar's monthly "Dinner, Beer & a Movie" night, the Old Eagle presents themed food and alcoholic beverages based on Rocky IV Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. "We try to pick a movie that can appeal to everyone and pair it with a good beer—sometimes it's a stretch, sometimes it's not as hard. And the food is easy," owner Erin Wallace said. The Old Eagle began the monthly cinema feast in September. Wallace said she's enjoyed pairing food and beers with films like The Godfather and Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.
