Pipes and Water Meter Taken from Building

Someone sneaks into the basement of a construction site and steals more than $2,500 worth of items.

Copper piping and a water meter were taken from a building in the 4400 block of Cresson St. on Nov. 9 at approximately 4:30 p.m.

According to police, the building is abandoned, and contractors went into it to do work.  While they were working, an unknown person went into the basement and removed the items.

Police valued the stolen items at more than $2,500.
