Police Discover One Burglary While Investigating a Different Burglary

Almost $8,000 in jewelry is stolen from a home on Oct. 17.

Almost $8,000 in jewelry was stolen from a home in the 800 block of Grakyn Lane on Oct. 17, police said.

While investigating a burglary in the 800 block of Cathedral Road, police discovered the rear door of a residence in the 800 block of Grakyn Lane kicked in, police said. 

When police entered the house, jewelry boxes were scattered all over the floor and couch.

Police said that the burglary took place on Oct. 17, between 5:15 p.m. and 8:55 p.m.

The stolen items included a diamond and platinum ring, platinum wedding band, a gold watch, and gold ring with silver inlaid.  The total value of the stolen items was $7,980.
