Stolen Car Returned, Police Say
A stolen car turns up down the street a few hours later.
Police received a report of a stolen vehicle in the 4400 block of Baker Street on Oct. 14, at 8 a.m.
According to police, the owner of that vehicle parked her car at this location for the night as she and some friends "went into town" for the night at around 12 p.m. on Oct. 13.
The owner of the vehicle received a phone call from her friend later in the evening that her vehicle was missing from where it had been parked.
The owner informed police of the stolen vehicle, but it was later discovered with a broken key in the ignition just a few houses up the street.
The owner told police that the car had been returned, and that she would get the broken key in the ignition fixed when she had the money.
