The owner of what will be a cigar smoking lounge answered questions at the Manayunk Neighborhood Council meeting Wednesday.

Representatives for the Smoke Cigar Lounge answered questions at the Manayunk Neighborhood Council meeting on Wednesday.

The Lounge is slated to go in at 4453 Main Street, and it will be a cigar retail space as well as a smoking club.

The owner insisted that cigars are a luxury hobby, and that his longue would not become overrun with “drunk college kids.”

The owner told the Neighborhood Council that he is actually applying for a use variance, and that there would be no dancing or deejays.

Further discussion and a vote on whether or not the civic would support the variance was delayed until next month.
